How it started
While living in Latin America, Mike started making educational content about nomad hacks and travel tips. As an active member of the nomad community, he observed how many remote business owners, both US citizens and non-residents, struggled to navigate regulations around banking and cross-border payments. Mike realized that he could solve this problem by leveraging his finance knowledge and previous experience as a small business analyst.
In 2025, he launched Nomadpreneur. Our service provides a complete solution for overseas business owners to form a legal entity and access the US banking system.
Meet the Founder
Mike Berner
Before launching Nomadpreneur, Mike covered small business products and services as a writer for Business.com, helping entrepreneurs navigate everything from credit card processing to accounting. He also founded Nomad Deals, a newsletter and review site focused on financial tips for digital nomads and expats. With firsthand experience as both a small business analyst and global nomad, Mike understands the unique challenges of building a location-independent business — and how to solve them.
Mike earned his BA in Economics and BBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As a digital nomad, he has traveled and lived throughout Asia and Latin America.
